Using CBD oil driving long distances?

Woman and her labradoodle

Are you traveling long distances for a trip? Then you’ll understand the importance of being well-rested before leaving the house. Sometimes a good night’s sleep doesn’t happen naturally. With long hours on the road, many drivers need a little extra support to stay alert and focused. Hemp oil can be beneficial to drivers who need help getting some well-deserved shut-eye during their long journeys.

Yes, long distance drivers can use CBD oil. However, you’ll need to check your state’s rules and regulations.

It’s also important to make sure you purchase high-quality oil that’s been lab-tested. Royal and Pure’s products are made from organic hemp which is cultivated on our farm in Colorado. We strive to produce the highest quality full-spectrum on the market. Our products contain less than <0.3% THC and are tested by an independent lab to ensure purity.

Is hemp oil legal?

Yes, it is federally legal in the United States. However, the rules around the use of the oil do vary for each state. Some states allow full use while others restrict it.

What states restrict the use of hemp oil?
According to the Green Market Report, “Nebraska and Idaho don’t allow any type of CBD within their jurisdiction unless these products adhere to 0% THC concentration criterion”

States that forbid any type of marijuana-based hemp products:

California, Colorado, Arizona, Alaska, Massachusetts, Vermont, Maine, Illinois, Montana, and Michigan are all ‘Green States’ which allow the use of this oil freely.
It’s also legal in Nevada, Oregon, South Dakota, and Washington.

Minnesota, Mississippi, Connecticut, Nebraska, Florida, Delaware, Idaho, Arkansas, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Washington are ‘Gray States’ – meaning that there are some internal conflicts within the state around the use of CBD oil.

Can I use it while driving?

It does not have an intoxicating effect on the body and is therefore okay to use while driving. In fact, many of our customers use our CBD Hemp Oil in the morning to help clear ‘brain fog’ and combat fatigue. Everybody is different, so we recommend trying your oil at home first.

Note: It should not be used as an aid to keep you awake
It’s important to note that hemp oil does not ‘get you high’ and should not be taken to keep you alert or awake.

If you’re traveling long distances you should take 30-minute breaks every eight hours – or more, if you’re feeling particularly tired. We recommend taking CBD Tincture Hemp Oil | Full Spectrum the night before your journey to help you get a restful night’s sleep.

What if I get pulled over?

Hemp oil is legal in many US states, so you should not get into any trouble if you have CBD oil on you. However, we recommend looking up the specific rules and regulations in your home state.
